Bar Counter Hire and Sale Advice

Being a market leader within the hospitality industry, we have vast amounts of experience when it comes to bar counter hire and barcounter sales.

There are several key points to consider when looking into buying a bar, here are some valuable points we have for you ;-

What style of bar do you need - popular styles of bar counters range mainly from wooden, metal or a back lit bars etc. most of these counters are hard wearing and are manufactured and finished off to a very high standard.

How often will you be using the bar - if you're planning on moving or putting the bar away after each event, you need to be sure that its durable for this. Alternativly, if you're buying the bar for you own home and its unlikely to be moved, perhaps you should go for a more solid and heavy counter.

Do you need it to have the option of being flat packed for storage etc - this is simply for storage and movement purposes. In addition to this if its flat packed you need to allow time to construct and transport the bar. Will it be used inside or outside - outside bars need to be made of the appropriate material so that they are not effected by the weather too much. Any bar counter can be used inside, inc. Ice bars.

Do you need it to be suitable for cocktails and draught beers etc - cocktail bar counters are different in two ways, they have more work space for the staff and some have ice wells built into them. Beer pumps and taps can still be fitted to these but on some counters the taps may not fully be visable.

Do you need shelves within the front counter - if you're planning on having beet taps etc on the front bar, their's no point in having shelves they'll just limit you're storage space for beer drums etc.

What size would you need - for every 1 member of bar staff we generally suggest 2 meters of front bar counter. Although this is not always possible, it's something which helps the customer and member of staff. Would you consider also having a matching back bar - this is perfered by some and classed as unnecessary by others. Again, this depends upon you're usage and budget 's etc.

Would it be cheaper just hiring a bar as and when required - if its just for a few isolated events, then yes it would be cheaper just hiring a bar for each event individually. This option also allows you to choose a different bar for each evet. These points should help you to decided which route you decide to go down.
